Battle of the V-1 (1958) aka Missiles from Hell - As Brunner the Labor Camp Captain
Plot Summary
- Michael Rennie stars in this tense, action-packed thriller set in occupied Europe during the Second World War and based on real life events. Stefan (Michael Rennie), a Polish resistance fighter, is rounded up by the Nazis and sent to a forced labour camp. He finds himself at Peenemunde, a top secret base where German scientists are working on a new and deadly form of weapon - the V.1 flying bomb.

Plot Summary
- In an effort to relieve the suffering of surgery patients, Dr. Thomas Bolton (Boris Karloff) painstakingly develops an opium-based anesthetic, to which he gradually becomes addicted. In order to provide a continual supply of chemicals to continue his experiments and support his addiction, he falls in with a den of murderers who use his signature to sell cadavers to the local hospital.
- Resurrection Joe is a grave-robber and part of the gang that Dr. Bolton falls in with.

The Hound of the Baskervilles (1959) - As Sir Henry
Plot Summary
- When Sir Charles Baskerville dies unexpectedly, his nephew and heir Sir Henry returns from South Africa. Dr. Mortimer. the local doctor, is concerned about Sir Henry's safety as he is convinced that Sir Charles was literally frightened to death. He consults Sherlock Holmes and recounts the tale of one Sir Hugo Baskerville who, several generations previously, had been killed by a huge hound and which now is believed by some to be a curse on the family. Holmes agrees to take on the case and it almost immediately becomes apparent that Sir Henry's life is in danger. Holmes doesn't believe in the legend of the Baskervilles or the supposed curse place upon them and sets out to find a more practical solution.

The Man Who Could Cheat Death (1959) - As Doctor Pierre Gerard
Plot Summary
- This is a remake of "The Man in Half Moon Street" (1945). Dr. Bonner plans to live forever through periodic gland transplants from younger, healthier human victims. Bonner looks about 40, but he's really 104 years old. People are starting to get suspicious, and he may not make 200.

Plot Summary
- This is a remake of the Karloff classic based on an early draft for that film. Three British archeologists discover the grave of an important Egyptian female priest who has died about four millennia ago. But when they open it a bad curse falls on them for having woken up the guard of the grave who was buried with the priest.
- The Mummy is the resurrected Kharis and is out for the archaeologist's blood.

Hard Times for Dracula (1959) aka My Uncle the Vampire - As Baron Roderico da Frankurten
Plot Summary
- Baron Osvaldo Lambertenghi is forced to sell his ancestral castle; when it's converted into a hotel, he stays on as a bellboy. His mysterious uncle arrives--and turns out to be a vampire. When his uncle vampirizes Osvaldo, the newly-minted blood-sucker gallops about the castle sipping from the necks of dozens of beautiful female guests.

 

Beat Girl (1959) aka Wild for Kicks - As Kenny
Plot Summary
- Paul, a divorced architect, marries Nichole, a woman from Paris. His teen daughter Jenny has fallen in with the English beatnik scene and likes to hang out in cave-like clubs to listen to jazz and rudimentary rock'n'roll. Jenny takes an immediate dislike to her mother-in-law, who is not that much older than she, and goes out of her way to make life miserable for Nichole. When Jenny discovers that Nichole is a friend of one of the strippers from the dance hall across the street, she investigates and uses Nichole's sordid past to embarrass her father. Meanwhile Jenny attracts the lecherous eye of Kenny, the owner of the dance hall.

 

Tales of the Vikings (1960) (TV Series) - As Norman Knight
Plot Summary
- Inspired by the movie, "Tales of the Vikings" regularly used stock footage from "The Vikings" and starred Jerome Courtland (Brave Eagle, Andy Bernette, Major Rogers of Rogers Rangers on the show "Northwest Passage") as a quite civilized, charismatic, and sophisticated Viking adventurer. After we see the stock footage from "The Vikings" where Ragnar's ship hits a rock and sinks, Jerome Courtland as Lief would find himself shipwrecked and in a strange land. He'd have to prove himself by undergoing "Viking Tests" of sticking his hand in a fire, wrestling with the locals, and drinking a brew of grog, soil, and untold "spices." Of course, Jerome Courtland would always prevail.

 

Too Hot to Handle (1960) aka Playgirl After Dark - As Novak
Plot Summary
- In London's Soho, Johnny Solo runs the Pink Flamingo Club. He's tough to intimidate. So when he starts getting threats and demands for protection, he fights back. Behind the takeover plot is a competitor, Diamonds Dielli. Midnight Franklin, who's Johnny's girlfriend and one of the club's headliners, wants to get Johnny out of the business. In the background are a sadistic client, an underage chorus girl, a wisecracking siren who's not averse to rough trade, a visiting journalist, and a dancer who guards her past.

 

The City of the Dead aka Horror Hotel (1960) - As Alan Driscoll
Plot Summary
- A young coed uses her winter vacation to research a paper on witchcraft in New England. Her teacher recommends that she spend her time in thw small village of Whitewood. He also recommends she stay at the "Raven's Inn", run by a Mrs. Newlis. When she arrives, she finds herself marked for sacrifice by a coven of witche because the innkeeper is actually the undead spirit of Elizabeth Selwyn, and the "guests" at the inn are the other witches who have come to celebrate the sacrifice of Candalmas Eve.
- Professor Alan Driscoll is Venetia Stevenson's teacher and the leader of the coven of witches.

Plot Summary
- Dr. Henry Jekyll experiments with scientific means of revealing the hidden, dark side of man and releases a murderer from within himself.

 

The Hands of Orlac (1960) aka Hands of a Strangler - As Nero the magician
Plot Summary
- Rich and famous concert pianist Stephen Orlac flies to France to marry beautiful Louise Cochrane. In heavy fog, the small aircraft crashes. Next day newspapers run two headlines next to each other: the ruin of his hands, as well as the execution of the strangler Louis Vasseur. During recovery of his surgery, in Orlac's mind his hands aren't his own any longer, they are Vasseur's. A magician and conman, Nero, with his sexy Vietnamese assistant, try to blackmail Orlac and to that purpose devise plots that further push the pianist off his mind.

Plot Summary
- A secret society of Hong-Kong at the beginning of the century called "The Red Dragon Tong" kidnaps the captain of a ship in the harbour of Hong-Kong as he tries to detain the killers of his daughter. Because the secret society is very powerful it is not easy to free him from their hands.

Plot Summary
- After narrowly surviving an accident in which she nearly drowned, the wheelchair bound Penny Appleby (Susan Strasberg) returns home to live with her widowed step-mother Jane on the French Riviera. She begins to question her sanity after several times seeing her father's corpse around the house and its grounds, and enlists the help of the friendly chauffeur Bob while attending Doctor Gerrard acts in a sinister manner.

Alcoa Presents: One Step Beyond (1961) (TV Series) - As Wilhelm Reitlinger
Plot Summary
- Produced at the same time as the more well-know Twilight Zone, this series fed the nation's growing interest in paranormal suspense in a different way. Rather than creating fictional stories with supernatural twists and turns, this program sought out 'real' stories of the supernatural, including ghosts, disappearances, monsters, etc., and re-creating them for each episode. No solutions to these mysteries were ever found, and viewers could only scratch their heads and wonder, "what if it's real?"

Hercules at the Center of the Earth (1961) - As King Lico (Licos)
Plot Summary
- Upon his return from battle in the previous film, the great warrior Hercules learns that his lover, Daianara, has lost her senses. Acording of the oracle Medea, Dianara's only hope is the Stone of Forgetfulness which lies deep in the realm of Hades. Hercules, with two companions, Theseus and Telemachus, embarks on a dangerous quest for the stone, while he is unaware that Dianara's guardian, King Lico, is the one responsible for her condition and plots to have the girl for himself as his bride upon her revival.

Plot Summary
- In a village of Huguenot refugees, Jonathan Standish is exiled by his father to a nearby penal colony for his improper relationship with a married woman. This penal colony is then invaded by pirates who force Jonathan to lead them back to his village, convinced that it contains a great treasure.

Plot Summary
- Filmed in Odescalchi Castle and Lake Bracciano near Rome. A group of dropouts find an old man (Lee) in a castle. The old man subsequently turns into the Devil and seizes them. Filmed in 1963 and having a lavish publicity book issued the film wasn't released until 1965 due to the producer's death.

Plot Summary
- Women are being tortured to death with various torture devices in the dungeon of an old castle by a deformed, hooded, holocaust survivor.

 

The Whip and the Body (1963) aka Son of Satan - As Kurt Menliff
Plot Summary
- Kurt Menliff is a ruthless and sadistic 19th Century nobleman who returns to his seafront castle home after years of wondering and is immediately at odds with his invalid father, a Count, as well as Kurt's spinless younger brother Christian, whom is married to Kurt's cousin and former lover Nevenka. When Kurt is found in his room on the next night, murdered, suspicion falls on everyone which gets more complicated when Nevenka begins seeing his ghost (real or imaginary?) haunting the castle supposedly wanting revenge against his killers.

Plot Summary
- Count Drago (Christopher Lee) invites over entertainers to his castle, but what the people don't know is that Drago mummifies animals and humans!

 

The Alfred Hitchcock Hour (1964) (TV) - As Karl Jorla
Plot Summary
- A continuation of the dramatic anthology series hosted by the master of suspense and mystery. When the series Alfred Hitchcock Presents was revived in 1962, the name was changed, but the format stayed fairly true to the original. In each episode, viewers would be strung along with the story, never knowing which way the final twist would turn.
- In "The Sign of Satan", Karl Jorla is a European horror film star who arrives in Hollywood to make his first American picture. But Jorla is hiding from a cult of devil worshippers, whothinks that he intends to expose them in his movie, and then they try to stop him.

Crypt of the Vampire (1964) - As Count Ludwig Karnstein
Plot Summary
- Count Karnstein sends for a doctor to help his sick daughter Laura (Adriana Ambesi). Her nurse believes she is possessed by the spirit of a dead ancestor;Carmilla. A young woman becomes intrigued by the mysterious deaths surrounding Laura after a carriage accident outside the castle forces her to stay. They become close friends until Laura becomes convinced the spirit of Carmilla is forcing her to kill.

The Devil-Ship Pirates (1964) - As Captain Robeles
Plot Summary
- A pirate ship, fighting in 1588 on the side of the Spanish Armada, suffers damage and must put into a village on the British coast for repairs. The village is small and isolated and the Spanish convince the villagers that the English fleet has been defeated and that they, the Spanish, are now their masters. This results in the villagers' sullen cooperation, but rumors and unrest begin to spread and soon the Spanish pirates find themselves facing a revolt.

 

The Gorgon (1964) - As Professor Karl Meister
Plot Summary
- In early-twentieth-century middle-Europe, villagers are literally becoming petrified. Although the authorities try to hush the matter up it is apparent that at the full moon, Medusa leaves her castle lair and anyone looking on her face is turned to stone. When this fate befalls a visitor, experts from the University of Leipzig arrive to try and get to the bottom of it all.

Dr. Terror's House of Horrors (1965) - As Franklyn Marsh
Plot Summary
- A horror movie with five men aboard a train who are told their macabre fates by a spooky doctor's Tarot cards. Five separate stories unfold: An architect returns to his ancestoral home to find a werewolf out for revenge; a doctor discovers his new wife is a vampire; a huge plant takes over a house; a musician gets involved with voodoo; an art critic is pursued by a disembodied hand.
- Franklyn Marsh has his fortune read last in the segment called "The Hand" where he is as an art critic who gets his comeuppence by an artist's dismembered hand!

She (1965/I) - As Billali
Plot Summary
- After doing military service in the Middle East, British archaeologist Holly, his valet and his gorgeous young friend Leo are spotted in Palestine and approached by a mysterious oriental who identified Leo by his canning likeness to the portrait on an ancient coin. An adventurous search for the lost Pharaonic city of Kuma with a map the acquired leads their hasty mini-expedition to a hidden city, where the Hellenistic age is still alive. It's ruled by the supernatural Ayesha, 'She who must be obeyed' (Ursula Andress), who believes he is is the reincarnation she waited for all those centuries of Callicrates, a companion of Alexander the Great, and offers him immortality to share the throne as her eternal love, but it goes tragically wrong.

Plot Summary
- An antique dealer acquires questionable artifacts, including a book on the Marquis de Sade which is bound in human skin, and plus the skull of the Marquis de Sade. As it turns out the Marquis was possessed and the possession continues long after his death. The skull influences whoever owns it, to do evil things against their free will.
- Sir Matthew Phillips is one of the two specialists in the occult. He had the skull stolen and does not wish it returned. He also warns Dr. Christopher Maitland to stay away from the skull as it poses a grave danger to whoever has it in their possession.

The Face of Fu Manchu (1965) aka The Mask of Fu Manchu - As Dr. Fu Manchu / Lee Tao
Plot Summary
- Grisly strangulations in London alert Nayland Smith of Scotland Yard to the possibility that fiendish Fu Manchu may not after all be dead, even though Smith witnessed his execution. A killer spray made from Tibetan berries seems to be involved and clues keep leading back to the Thames.

Plot Summary
- The Theatre of Death in Paris specialises in horror presentations. A police surgeon finds himself becoming involved in the place through his attraction to one of the performers. When bloodless bodies start showing up all over town he realises there could be links with the theatre.

 

Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966) - As Count Dracula
Plot Summary
- Two couples traveling in eastern Europe decide to visit Carlstad despite dire local warnings. Left outside the village by a coachman terrified at the approach of night, they find themselves in the local castle and are surprised at the hospitality extended by the sinister Klove. It turns out the owner, Count Dracula, dead for ten years, has been hoping for such a visit.

Rasputin: The Mad Monk (1966) - As Grigori Rasputin
Plot Summary
- The movie chronicles the events of history's "man of mystery," Rasputin. Although not quite historically accurate and little emphasis is put on the politics of the day, Rasputin's rise to power and eventual assassination are depicted in an attempt to explain his extraordinary power and influence. Thrown out of his monestary for licentious and drunken behaviour, Rasputin travels to St Petersburg to try his luck. Through a daliance with one of the czarina's ladies in waiting he soon gains influence at court with his powers of healing and of hypnotism. But he also makes enemies who wish to see him dead.

Circus of Fear (1966) - As Gregor
Plot Summary
- A mail van is robbed by a group of thugs, but things go horribly wrong when the guard tries to escape and gets shot. The gang leader consults the boss by telephoneand is instructed to take their share to a distant location. Meanwhile Inspector Elliott (Leo Genn) is hot on the case, tracing the thieves to Barberini's circus. A series of puzzling deaths caused by unique throwing knives plague the circus whilst the detective hunts for the crooks and their stolen loot.
- Gregor is the mask-wearing and disfigured lion tamer.

The Brides of Fu Manchu (1966) - As Fu Manchu
Plot Summary
- Fu Manchu returns for the second of five movies. This time Fu Manchu and his army of henchmen are kidnaping the daughters of prominent scientists and taking them to his remote island headquarters. Instead of asking for ransom, Fu Manchu demands that the fathers help him to build a death ray, which he intends to use to take over the world. But his archenemy, Nayland Smith of Scotland Yard, is determined not to let that happen.
- Evil Oriental mastermind Fu Manchu abducts beautiful girls from around the world whose fathers are distinguished scientists and engineers. He then forces them to construct a "death ray", which generates phenomenal energy through radio waves.

Night of the Big Heat (1967) - As Godfrey Hanson
Plot Summary
- Also known as Island of the Burning Doomed. While mainland Britain shivers in deepest winter, the northern island of Fara bakes in the nineties. The boys at the Met station have no more idea what is going on than the regulars at the Swan. Only a stand-offish visting scientist suspects aliens are to blame. Meanwhile the new secretary to the local best-selling author is raising the temperature in her own way.

Plot Summary
- An American, visiting Hong Kong, becomes involved with an illegal sect known as the Five Dragons and is wrongly arrested for murder. After managing to escape the police he discovers that the sect are responsible for the trafficking of gold.

Plot Summary
- In the Olden Tymes, Count Regula is drawn and quartered for killing twelve virgins in his dungeon torture chamber. Thirty-five years later, he comes back to seek revenge on the daughter of his intended thirteenth victim and the son of his prosecutor in order to attain immortal life.

 

The Avengers (1967-1969) (TV) - As Colonel Mannering and Professor Stone
Plot Summary
- This is the original TV series that was an action/spy show about a suave, debonaire British agent and his female partners. Most of the plots werepurely fantasy. Agent John Steed (Patrick Macnee), had several lady partners during the series, the best known being Mrs. Emma Peel (Diana Rigg).
- In "Never, Never Say Die", the Avengers try to defeat indestructible clones who have overpowered their creators?
- Professor Stone is an ex-classmate of Patrick Macnee’s, and a malevolent scientist.

Plot Summary

The Face of Eve (1968) - As Colonel Stuart
Plot Summary
- Adventurer and treasure hunter Mike Yates is hoping to find a cache of Incan treasure lost in the Amazon jungle. While looking for his missing partner, he stumbles across a beautiful jungle girl named Eve. Later on, he comes across Eve's grandfather, who is being swindled by a man and a young woman who is pretending to be his granddaughter Eve. Will Yates be able to expose the swindle, beat the swindlers to the lost treasure (with the help of the real Eve), and reunite Eve with her grandfather before the final credits role?

Plot Summary
- Fu Manchu is plotting world domination from his secret headquarters underneath the Amazon rainforest. He has discovered a rare poison which affects only men, and uses it as lipstick for ten beautiful women, who are to deliver a kiss of death to 10 public officials. Carl Jansen (Gotz George) and Sir Denis Nayland Smith (Richard Greene) are a pair of Scotland Yard detectives that track Fu Manchu to his underground hideout, and with the aid of Dr. Ronald Petrie (Howard Marion Crawford), they search for the antidote to the deadly poison.

Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968) - As Count Dracula
Plot Summary
- A year after Dracula has been destroyed, a priest and a Monsignor volunteer to go up to his Castle to exorcise it. The Monsignor accidentally spills his own blood on some ice on water, and Dracula is revived when it touches his lips. With the Priest now under Dracula's control , they set out to find the Monsignor to exact revenge for a giant cross he placed on the counts castle. Dracula goes after the Monsignor's niece, Maria, so her boyfriend Paul and the Monsignor head out after Dracula. The Monsignor is killed by the Priest, and Dracula is killed by Paul when he is impaled and the giant (now sstuck in the ground) cross.
