Plot Summary
- During the Suez Crisis of 1956, two young clerks at the stuffy Foreign Office in Whitehall display little interest in the decline of the British Empire. To their eyes, it can hardly compete with girls, rock music (including "Lay Down Your Arms"), and the intrigue of romantic entanglements.

The Scarlet and the Black (1993) (mini-series) - As Julien Sore

Plot Summary
- This lively, comedy tells the story of Dog (Reynolds) - a New Age Traveller who makes Worzel Gummidge look like a winner of a Best Dressed Man Award - and his girlfriend Becca (Rachel Weisz) - a middle-class dropout from Surrey.
With nowhere to live and Winter fast approaching they decided to abandon life on the road and live the life of squatters with their sidekick Captain Larry (Bernard Hill) whose sole purpose in life is to use everybody.
However, like most idealists they are forced to wake up to reality and the reality is that with houses comes responsibility.

Doggin' Around (1994) (TV) - As Tom Clayton

Plot Summary
- Drama about an ageing American jazz musician, Joe Warren, who is also an alcoholic , gambler and womaniser who comes to the North of England for a series of gigs.Once there he meets the woman appointed as his minder for the week. Joe has been in England once before, about ten years ago and soon the past is catching up with him.

Plot Summary
- This movie starts when three people living together in a four bedroom flat are looking for a house mate. The interviews they conduct are very unorthodox and very funny. Eventually the three agree on one prospective tenant. He moves in, locks his door, and is not seen again. After a couple of days the three become curious and break in to his room.

Kavanagh QC (1995) (TV) - As David Robert Armstrong
Plot Summary
- James Kavanagh (John Thaw) is a QC (Queen's Counsel), although an unusual one, being from a tough working-class background. In each episode of the show he deals with a challenging case which puts his many skills to the test.
- In "Nothing But the Truth", Kavanagh takes on the defence of a student accused of raping a middle-aged housewife.
- David Robert Armstrong is the student that was working on the housewife's backyard, when he is accused of raping her.

Blue Juice (1995) - As Dean Raymond
Plot Summary
- JC (Sean Pertwee) is a surfer legend who is at the end of his Twenties and is living with his girlfriend Chloe (Catherine Zeta-Jones) in a small coastal town in England. One day, three of his friends show up, including Terry who is about to get married and they figure that they should take him out for a good time before he puts on the harness. JC is eager to tag along, but Chloe is annoyed at JC for leaving her alone at home for yet another night, and she gives him his walking papers.
- Dean sells drugs on a regular basis and must face the fact that his life is not what he would like it to be.

Plot Summary
- This movie is about Mark Renton and his friends that are a bunch of losers, liars, psychos, thieves and junkies. Hilarious but harrowing, the film charts the disintegration of their friendship as they lean towards self destruction. Mark alone has the insight and opportunity to escape his fate.
- Mark Renton (aka Rents, the Rent Boy) is the central character and narrator of the movie. He's a heroin addict who has rejected society's values.

Plot Summary
- As a young girl in Japan, Nagiko's father paints characters on her face, and her aunt reads to her from "The Pillow Book", the diary of a 10th-century lady-in-waiting. Nagiko grows up, obsessed with books, papers, and writing on bodies, and her sexual odyssey (and the creation of her own Pillow Book) is a "parfait mélange" of classical Japanese, modern Chinese, and Western film images.

Tales from the Crypt (1996) (TV) - As Sidney Stratton
Plot Summary
- This horror anthology always started and ended with the Crypt Keeper rattling off a ghoulish pun, and featured stories of murder, the super natural, gore and humor. Each show always had a twisted ending of sorts.
- In "Cold War", a young female criminal leaves her partner after one too many botched jobs, and all is not what it seems to be when she finds someone to make him jealous.

Emma (1996) - As Frank Churchill
Plot Summary
- Emma (Gwyneth Paltrow) is a young lady who fancies herself a match-make and she plans to do it again, and again, this time by connecting her new friend Harriet Smith to the local parson, Mr. Elton. Unfortunately Mr. Elton and Miss Smith have class differences that put them in two separate worlds. Mr. Elton proposes to Emma and she rejects him, so he leaves town in embarrassment. Harriet is determined to bounce back, and Emma is determined to try match-making again.
- Frank Churchill is Mr. Weston's son. He is dashing and charming and when he enters the picture, Emma thinks herself in love, but she soon realizes she is not.

Plot Summary
- A small Yorkshire mining town is threatened with being shut down and the only hope for the town's men is to enter their Grimley Colliery Brass Band into a national competition. They believe they have no hope until Gloria (Tara Fitzgerald) appears carrying her Flugelhorn. At first mocked for being a woman, she soon becomes the only chance for the band to win. In joining the band she puts her relationship with her childhood sweetheart on the line.

ER: Emergency Room (1997) (TV) - As Duncan Stewart
Plot Summary
- ER is about the County General Hospital where doctors and nurses are faced with life-and-death decisions daily. The staff is led by Dr. John Carter, and the chief of staff, Dr. Kerry Weaver. Also included are Nurse Abby Lockhart (Maura Tierney) and Dr. Doug Ross (George Clooney).
- In "The Long Way Around", Carol is trapped in a convenience store after a failed robbery attempt and must put her medical knowledge to the test as she tries to save one of the robbers and the store's owner.
- Duncan Stewart is the other robber who escapes from the store, and takes Carol with him, but he is shot running away from the police and dies in the hospital.

Plot Summary
- Young Dutch architect Meneer Chrome comes to a remote English estate where Thomas Smithers lives with his wife, Juliana. Smithers is determined to leave as his legacy a fabulous garden, to be carved from a wild patch of land beside his home. Chrome receives written instructions from his unseen master via a secretary, and the master is Juliana's cousin, Fitzmaurice, who had romance with Juliana when they were young and plans to make Thomas bankrupt via setting up extravagant garden and to make Juliana come back to him.

A Life Less Ordinary (1997) - As Robert Lewis
Plot Summary
- From Heaven, Gabriel sends two angels to Earth to make two people fall in love. Celine and Robert are that couple. Robert kidnaps Celine, and they go to a mountain hideout where they discuss splitting the ransom they plan to get from her father. The angels become bounty hunters, and when Jackson is about to kill Robert, Celine comes to his rescue. Celine robs a bank and Robert is shot. Robert finds Celine and Elliot together, and knocks out Elliot, and Celine and Robert separate. The angels kidnap Celine, and Gabriel eventually gets God to help out.
- Robert Lewis is an aspiring novelist that works as a janitor at the corporation owned by Celine's wealthy father.

Plot Summary

Plot Summary
- In 1971, Glamrock explodes all over the world and Brian Slade (Jonathan Rhys Meyers), a young rockstar, inspires numerous teenage boys and girls, but in the end, destroys himself. He plots his own murder and when his fans discover that the murder is a fake, he is forgotten about. In 1984, Arthur Stuart (Christian Bale), a journalist working for a New York newspaper, gets assigned the story about the fake murder of Brian Slade. Reluctantly he accepts the assignment and starts to investigate what happened his old glamrock hero.
- Curt Wild is the outrageous, maniacal American singer.

Little Voice (1998) - As Billy
Plot Summary
- After the death of her father, Little Voice or LV (Jane Horrocks) becomes a virtual recluse and just sits in her bedroom listening to her father's collection of old records. But at night time, LV sings, imitating the great singers and one night she is overheard by a talent agent. He manages to convince her that her talent is special and arranges for her to perform at the local night club, but several problems arise.

Plot Summary
- Nick Leeson is determined to be more than a simple bank clerk. Barings Bank offers him the opportunity to go to Jakarta, where he meets and marries Lisa (Anna Friel) and together they go to Singapore for the bank. The bank allows Nick to operate the floor trading and the back office facilities, when Nick starts to lose money and attempt to trade out of the losses. After the death of his unborn child Nick completely loses control and gambles without restraint with other people's money leading inevitably to a complete financial meltdown and the bankruptcy of the bank.

Anno Domini (2000) - As The Stranger
Plot Summary
- Belfast, Christmas 1999. A poor, badly dressed woman is half walking, half stumbling down the road. She is tearful and her behaviour is so disturbed that passers-by look furtively at her before hurrying on. Her walk is purposeful though. She is hurrying to go somewhere specific. She stumbles towards a church that is lit up. As she approaches it we see a sign outside announcing "SERVICE FOR PEACE Belfast Christmas together. All Denominations, 8pm"

 

 
Nora (2000) - As James Joyce)
Plot Summary
- In 1904, in Dublin, James Joyce chats up Nora Barnacle, a hotel maid recently come from Galway. She enchants him with her frank, direct and uninhibited manner, and before long, he's convinced her to come with him to Trieste, where he has a job with Berlitz. Over time, Nora pulls him through phobias, tolerates his drinking, takes in his brother Stan, and bests Joyce at 'the writin' game' to bring him back to Italy from Dublin where he's gone to open a cinema. But his sexual jealousy threatens the relationship and sends her back to Galway with the children.

Plot Summary
- A 19th-century story of  the Moulin Rouge, which is a seedy but glamorous world of sex, drugs and the Can-Can.
- Christian is a poet that defies his family by moving to the amoral, Bohemian district Paris. He taken in by painter Toulouse-Lautrec (John Leguizamo). Christian then begins a passionate, but ultimately doomed, love affair with Satin (Nicole Kidman), the star of the Moulin Rouge, and Paris’s most famous concubine.

Plot Summary

Solid Geometry (2002) (TV) - As Phil
Plot Summary
- Based on Ian McEwan's short story, Solid Geometry is about Phil (McGregor) whose life is changed when he recieves 41 volumes of his great grandfather's diaries. The diaries becomes an obsession and alienates himself away from his wife Maisie (Millar). In the diaries, Phil comes across "the plane without a surface," a geometrical figure that operates as a one-way ticket to another dimension. He creates the figure and tests it on Maisie.

 

Down with Love (2003) - As Catcher Block
Plot Summary
- Barbara Novak (Renée Zellweger) has just wrote a book called Down With Love. The book instructs women to have sex the way a man does, and to detach themselves from love completely. Catcher Block is a successful journalist tapped to write a cover story on Novak. He blows her off at every opportunity to cuddle with flight attendants. However, when Novak's book is a complete success, Catcher finds himself being blown off by her! So he starts to write an expose and disguises himself as a naive astronaut named Zip Martin.

Young Adam (2003) - As Joe Taylor
Plot Summary
- The film is set in Scotland in the 1950's. Joe Taylor is a drifter who's found work on a barge run by husband and wife Les (Peter Mullan) and Ella (Tilda Swinton). Though he likes Les, Joe begins an affair with Ella. Meanwhile, flashbacks slowly reveal Joe’s connection to a young woman’s corpse that Joe and Les pull out of the canal in the opening scene. Joe also recalls through flashbacks his relationship with his former mistress Cathie Dimly (Emily Mortimer), while he seduces Ella. When the police arrest a suspect in the murder of the woman, Joe becomes interested in the case, while his thoughts disclose the truth about the victims death.

Big Fish (2003) - As Ed Bloom (Young)
Plot Summary
- Directed by Tim Burton, it is about a relationship between a father and his son. Edward Bloom is a teller of tall-tales about his oversized life. His exploits range from the delightful to the abstract as he tells about giants, blizzards, a witch and siamese-twin lounge singers. With his larger-than-life stories, Bloom charms everyone except for his son Will, and when his mother tries to reunite them, Will must learn how to separate fact from fiction as he comes to terms with his father.
