The American Experience (1993) (TV Series) - As The Steward
Plot Summary
- Since 1988, PBS has broadcast a series that focuses on the history of the United States called American Experience, the program examines the people, events, technology, and natural resources that have shaped the country. American Experience uses historians and authors, period images and film, music, dramatic re-enactments, and contemporary context to set the stage for its topics. Though American Experience has used many films from independent film makers and has been assisted by various PBS stations throughout the country, it has always been spearheaded by WGBH in Boston.

Plot Summary
- National Lampoon spoofs several box office hits including of course, the Lethal Weapon movies. Sgt. Jack Colt (Emilio Estevez) and Sgt. Wes Luger are teamed up to stop General Curtis Mortars (William Shatner) and Mr. Jigsaw (Tim Curry) from lacing Wilderness Girls cookies with cocaine.
- Sergeant Wes Luger assumes the Danny Glover role along with Jack Colt to investigate the murder of his former partner (Whoopi Goldberg).

Amos & Andrew (1993) - As Andrew Sterling
Plot Summary
- This racially motivated comedy is about a black man named Andrew who's seen entering a mansion by a bigoted police chief who assumes Andrew is breaking in. Thinking Andrew has hostages, the chief calls out the cavalry, but Andrew actually owns the home. By the time the chief realizes his mistake, it's too late. The chief also gets jailbird car thief Amos (Nicolas Cage), to pretend to be the real criminal in return for his freedom. But Amos gets outwitted by Andrew for control of the mansion.
- Andrew Sterling is a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright that gets mistaken for a criminal.

Menace II Society (1993) - As Tat Lawson
Plot Summary
- This urban nightmare chronicles several days in the life of Caine Lawson (Tyrin Turner), following his high-school graduation, as he attempts to escape his violent existence in the projects of Watts, CA.
- Tat Lawson is seen in a flashback about when the drug epidemic has hit the Watts District hard, as it happens before the timeline at the beginning of the movie, but after the actual beginning of the film. Tat Lawson was Caine's father, was a heroin dealer, and was killed during a drug deal.

Jurassic Park (1993) - As Ray Arnold
Plot Summary
- In this movie John Hammond offers to fund Dr. Alan Grant’s (Sam Neill) paleontology projects if he and Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) will inspect his new island theme park. Hammond’s two grandchildren, a corporate lawyer, and chaos expert, Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) also go. Hammond sends the group on a guided tour of the park, but they get stranded near the T. rex. The power goes out and the dinosaurs are released to wreak havoc.
- Ray Arnold is the chief engineer that shuts down the power to re-boot the computers, thus releasing the dinosaurs. He later went to turn the power back on and was never fully seen again.

True Romance (1993) - As Big Don
Plot Summary
- Clarence Worley (Christian Slater) is a penniless hipster in Detroit with a love for Elvis (Val Kilmer) and meets a mysterious hooker named Alabama (Patricia Arquette) that was paid to meet him on his birthday in a theater at night. Falling in love, he makes it his mission to dispose of her past, namely her violent pimp, Drexl Spivey (Gary Oldman). Defeating him and unknowingly taking a vast fortune of Cocaine, the two try to sell it in Los Angeles as Drexl's associates fight to reclaim it.
- Big Don is a small-time drug dealer whose very brief cameo is cut short by Drexl's shotgun.

Fresh (1994) - As Sam Nelson
Plot Summary
- Michael or Fresh (Sean Nelson) as he's well known is a 12-year-old drug pusher who lives in a crowded house with his cousins and aunt. His father has become a street bum,but still meets with fresh on occasion to play chess. Fresh is rather quiet in a crazy world. Fresh' sister is a junkie who sleeps with the dealers that fresh sells for. Fresh realizes that he doesn't want to sell drugs anymore, he wants revenge instead.
- Sam Nelson is Fresh's estranged father, a speed chess hustler in the city park whose dispassionate philosophy--the chess board as life--becomes the film's central metaphor.

Plot Summary
- Caesar is having a hard time dividing his time between his band and his rich girlfriend, Buffer. Buffer's dad doesn't like Ceasar for her. He called in Caesar to make a bet. If Caesar gets to make a hundred thousand dollars within six months, he can have Buffer but if he does not, he won't see her forever. How can Ceasar win the bet if what he only knows is jam with his band mates?

Plot Summary
- This is the story of Johnson Whittaker, one of the first African-American cadets admitted to West Point. Tied down and beaten by his fellow cadets, Whittaker was court-martialed on the grounds that he staged his own assault to avoid taking a philosophy exam. His defense attorneys consisted of a racist and a Harvard Graduate who squabble over how best to present his defense.
- Richard Greener is a lawyer who has lived racism by his own as being a Harvard alumni and of course black and is willing to defend Johnson at the trial.

Against the Wall (1994) (TV) - As Jamaal
Plot Summary
- Based on the true story of the uprising at Attica Prison in 1971. Michael Smith, a new recruit to the prison service, along with several of his colleagues get caught up in a prison riot fueled by bad prison management and a lack of understanding by the guards.

 

Pulp Fiction (1994) - As Jules Winnfield
Plot Summary
- Three stories are told in a circular, fractured manner, which only fully connect at the end. The first story focuses on Vincent Vega (John Travolta) and Jules Winnfield that are thugs for Marsellus Wallace and his wife, Mia (Uma Thurman). In the second, Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) is ordered to take a fall while boxing, but decides not to. The final chapter follows a couple as they prepare to hold up a diner.
- One of the two hit men on duty for "the big boss," Marsellus Wallace. He considered himself blessed when he miraculously escaped being shot. Unfortunately his fate is sealed by Butch Coolidge before the movie ends.

Plot Summary
- Peter and Katherine Witner are Southern California super-yuppies with great jobs but no center to their lives. When they both lose their jobs and begin marital infidelities, their solution is to start their own business together. In order to find meaning to their empty lives, they follow various New Age gurus and other such groups. Eventually, they hit rock bottom and have make some hard decisions.

Plot Summary
- An African-American baby, abandoned by Khaila Richards (Halle Berry), his crack addicted mother is adopted by Margaret Lewin (Jessica Lange), a white social worker and her husband. Several years later, the baby's mother finds out her son is not dead, as she thought before and goes to court to get him back
- Kadar Lewis is the lawyer Khaila hires to contest the adoption.

Plot Summary
- Jimmy Kilmartin's (David Caruso) an ex-con who's trying to go straight. But he can't say no to a quick driving job because his so called friend's life is threatened. The job is for Little Junior Brown (Nicolas Cage), a violent and powerful villain. When things go wrong, Jimmy is left to do the time, and his whole life is turned upside-down, but if that wasn't enough, the cops won't leave Jimmy alone when he gets out... They want 'Little Junior'.

Plot Summary
- A man calling himself "Simon" begins a reign of terror in the streets of New York and threatens to detonate bombs around the city unless Detective John McClane (Bruce Willis) cooperates in a game of "Simon Says". John has to find out what Simon is up to while chasing clues around the city for a game that is just a deception.
- Zeus Carver saves John McClane from being killed by a gang of black men in a bad neighborhood during the game of Simon Says. Zeus is then reluctantly dragged into the adventure to help John solve the mystery and stop the real crime.

Hard Eight (1996) aka Sydney - As Jimmy
Plot Summary
- Sydney is a veteran gambler in his sixties who still spends his time at the casinos. When he meets John, a loser with no money at all, he sees him as a son and tries to help him. He takes care of him and teaches him all the tricks of his work. He also helps him to make a relationship with Clementine, a young girl who works at the casino as a waitress. John doesn't seem to be bothered by the fact that Clementine is also a hooker, but soon something happens that turns their lives upside down.

Plot Summary
- When a boxing champ's promoter decides something new is needed to boost the marketability of the matches, he searches and finds the only man to ever beat the champ. The problem is that he isn't a boxer anymore and he's white. However, once the promoter convinces him to fight, he goes into heavy training while the confident champ takes it easy and gets out of shape.
- Reverend Fred Sultan is the champ's promoter. He's a flamboyant, publicity-loving manager,that only letsthe champ fight stiffs.

Trees Lounge (1996) - As Wendell
Plot Summary
- Tommy (Steve Buscemi) has lost his job, his love and his life. He lives in a small apartment above the Trees Lounge, a bar which he frequents along with a few other regulars without lives. He gets a job driving an ice cream truck and ends up getting involved with the seventeen year old niece of his ex-girlfriend. This gets him into serious trouble with her father (Daniel Baldwin). Tommy's life is an endless cycle of misery.

A Time to Kill (1996) - As Carl Lee Hailey
Plot Summary
- A crime is committed against a 10-year-old black girl in Mississippi by two drunk racists. Her father then uses an automatic weapon to get revenge. Jake Brigance (Matthew McConaughey), is hired to defend the young girls father, along with Lucien Wilbanks (Donald Sutherland), Harry Rex Vonner (Oliver Platt), and Ellen Roark (Sandra Bullock). There's also the Ku Klux Klan led by Freddie Cobb (Kiefer Sutherland).
- Carl Lee Hailey is the heart-broken father who avenges his daughter's brutal rape by shooting the men responsible as they are on their way to their trial.

Plot Summary
- This action thriller is about a single mother and schoolteacher that discovers her life was not always ordinary. Samantha Caine's (Geena Davis) real name is Charley and she used to be a professional assassin with the government. Charley got amnesia, and developed her new personality as Samantha. Her old boss sends a pair of hit men after her to make sure she doesn't remember anything. Samantha hires Mitch and both end up running for their lives while trying get some answers.
- Mitch Hennessey is the private investigator Samantha hires to look into her past and see what he can find.

Plot Summary
- Trevor Garfield is a teacher in a New York City high school. After a student almost kills him in the hallway Garrfield relocates to Los Angeles, but the trouble starts again when he becomes a substitute to a class containing a tag crew by the name of K.O.S and their murderous leader Benny. The tension mounts when a fellow teacher, Ellen Henry, confides that Benny has threatened her life. After Benny murders a rival tagger in cold blood and goes AWOL, Benny's tag partner, Cesar, takes over as class antagonist.

Sphere (1998) - As Dr. Harry Adams
Plot Summary
- In this sci-fi thriller, psychologist Norman Johnson (Dustin Hoffman) is mysteriously summoned to the middle of the Pacific Ocean. A spaceship is sitting on the ocean floor that has been there for at least three hundred years and sonar is detecting the hum of machinery coming from inside it. A group of scientists enters the ship and they explore the odd artifact found within its hull, a perfect sphere that controls minds and starts to kill the explorers calling itself Jerry.
- Harry Adams is a cynical mathematician that decides to go back to have one last look at the sphere and disappears. Norman goes after him, only to find him unconscious next to it.

Plot Summary
- Ex-con Jack Foley (George Clooney) robs a bank, but lands in a Florida prison. His escape from prison doesn't go as planned when Foley's partner Buddy Bragg (Ving Rhames) take Marshall Karen Sisco (Jennifer Lopez) hostage. Jack and Karen have a thing for each other, but Karen still has to arrest Jack even though she really doesn't want to.
- Hejira Henry is seen at the end of the movie when Jack is arrested and put in a police van for transport. Hejira has also been arrested and put in the same van. His name is Islamic and he escaped from prison many times and the movie ends with Jack and Hejira meeting because Karen set it up.

The Negotiator (1998) - As Lt. Danny Roman
Plot Summary
- In the midst of an elaborate conspiracy, an expert negotiator is driven to the edge when he's framed for the murder of his partner, as well as embezzling money from his department's pension fund. His only chance to prove his innocence is to take hostages himself, acquire the services of another expert negotiator, and find out who's running the conspiracy before it's too late.
- Lt. Danny Roman is the officer that was framed and must take hostages to clear himself.

The Red Violin (1998) - As Charles Morritz in Montréal segment
Plot Summary
- This movie traces the history of a violin through five countries and three centuries. In 1681 an Italian paints the violin with a red varnish made from his dead wife's blood. It found later on in the Alps when a prodigy gives a performance in the court of Vienna in 1792. The instrument is later taken by gypsies and then acquired by a composer. In 1966 it ends up in China and it's hidden during a Revolution. Finally it ends up in Canada and is spotted at an auction house by a violin expert who becomes obsessed with it.
- Charles Morritz is seen in Canada and is the composer that falls in love with the violin.

Deep Blue Sea (1999) - As Russell Franklin
Plot Summary
- In this movie a group of scientists have a deep-sea research facility where they have discovered that there is an enzyme in sharks brains that can re-activate human brain cells. They have three huge sharks and have increased the shark's brain mass to get the enzyme, but the sharks are smarter as a side-effect. During a storm, the sharks cause a chain of events which sinks the facility. The survivors then need to find a way out before they are killed.
- Russell Franklin is a hard-nosed financier that shows up to oversee the scientists progress. He is grabbed by one of the sharks in a surprise attack.

Rules of Engagement (2000) - As Colonel Terry L. Childers
Plot Summary
- This movie revolves around the trial of accused Army officer Colonel Terry L. Childers. He was trying to subdue an attack on the US Embassy in Yemen, but ended up having his men fire into a crowd of demonstrators. All the evidence that would justify his actions goes missing and he gets his friend and fellow comrade, Col. Hodges (Tommy Lee Jones), to defend him because Childers saved his life back in Vietnam. Soon, everything turns against Childers and his defense team and ultimately, he is found not guilty on the multiple murder charges but guilty of breach of peace and his military career is basically over.

Shaft (2000) - As John Shaft
Plot Summary
- This is a remake of the 1970's movie and TV show starring Richard Roundtree. A spoiled college kid named Walter Wade (Christian Bale) kills a young black student and Shaft makes the arrest. Walter skips bail and flees the country. Shaft eventually arrests him again as he tries to secretly re-enter the States. Walter gets back out on the streets and looking to kill Shaft. So are two of Shaft's corrupt colleagues, Jack and Jimmy, as well as a drug lord, Peoples Hernandez who wants revenge on him.
- John Shaft is the tough cop type that throws his badge at judges.
Unbreakable (2000) - As Elijah Price
Plot Summary
- A security guard named David Dunn (Bruce Willis) is coming home from work, when the train he is on is suddenly derailed, the train crashes, and he is the sole survivor, out of 132 people. Without a scratch on his body. Soon he is contacted by comic-book store owner Elijah Price whose bones are easily breakable, who claims David is a superhero.

The Caveman's Valentine (2001) - As Romulus Ledbetter
Plot Summary
- Romulus is mentally ill, a troglodyte in a New York City park. He's also a gifted composer and the father of a city cop. On Valentine's Day, a young man freezes in a tree near his cave. The police determine it's the accidental death of someone behaving bizarrely, but Romulus believes a friend of the dead youth who says that noted avant-garde photographer, David Leppenraub, murdered him. Romulus, urged on by hallucinations of his wife as a young woman, resolves to catch the killer and manages to be invited to Leppenraub's farm to play a new composition.

Formula 51 (2001) aka The 51st State - As Elmo McElroy
Plot Summary
- Elmo McElroy has developed a new drug that is more potent then cocaine or Ecstasy and none of the ingredients are illegal. McElroy tries to escape drug kingpin "The Lizard" (Meat Loaf) and ends up in Liverpool, England, where he meets Felix DeSouza, another drug lord henchman. De Souza and McElroy to make a deal that is worth a fortune. In the meantime, a beautiful assassin (DeSouza's ex-girlfriend) is sent to kill McElroy, but ends up becoming his guardian angel.
- Elmo McElroy is the not so typical kilt-wearing master chemist type hero that tries to sell the drugs.

Plot Summary
- In this thriller, a rush-hour fender bender sets off a chain reaction that affects two people's lives. Two complete strangers become adversaries trying to destroy one another. Each of them tries to systematically dismantle the other's life to reclaim something they have lost.
- Doyle Gipson is a father whose right to see his children rests on the decision of a judge, and he has no time to spare.

The House on Turk Street (2002) aka No Good Deed - As Jack Friar
Plot Summary
- Based on a short story by Dashiell Hammett, this is about police detective Jack Friar, who stumbles upon a bizarre band of criminals about to pull off a bank robbery. Jack finds himself being held hostage while the criminals decide what to do with him, and the leader's beautiful girlfriend, Erin (Milla Jovovich), is left alone to watch him.
- Jack Friar specializes in Grand Theft Auto. He also is a pretty good amateur musician with the Cello and was about to go off to a week of fantasy camp with Yo-yo Ma. But a friend asks him to help find her 15 year old daughter, missing for 3 days.

Plot Summary
- In the first of the two espionage movies, Xander Cage (Vin Diesel), is an extreme sports enthusiast who videotapes his stunts for an underground Web site. He's a fast-talking tough guy that Agent Gibbons recruits as and agent. Xander must stop a Russian madman from releasing a deadly toxin into the air through a missile launched from a high tech boat. He gets some help from an abandoned Russian agent that was deep undercover.
- Augustus Gibbons is the NSA honcho that recruits xXx's.
Basic (2003) - As Sergeant West
Plot Summary
- An Army sergeant takes six of his special troops on a training mission into the rain-soaked Colombian jungles and only two come out alive. When the rescue mission arrives, they see one soldier killing another and carrying a wounded comrade. As the interrogation begins, the soldier refuses to talk to anyone except another Ranger. Osborne (Connie Nielsen), the investigating officer protests, but her commanding officer brings in former Ranger and current DEA agent Hardy (John Travolta).
- Sergeant West is the commanding officer for the training mission.

Plot Summary
- In this action movie that was originally a TV show, Jim Street (Colin Farrell) is an L.A.P.D. officer who wants a chance on the elite SWAT team. That break comes when Sgt. Hondo is assigned to recruit and train five officers for a new unit. The new team goes into action when a drug lord offers $100 million to anyone who can free him from police custody. The SWAT team is then pursued by a bunch of reward seekers.
- Sgt. Dan 'Hondo' Harrelson is the team commander.
