Plot Summary
- Liz a middle class pakeha (european) housewife suffering from depression has a nervous breakdown and is admitted to a mental hospital. There she meets up with Tug, a polynesian teenager undergoing drug rehab. For some unknown reason she is attracted to him. The feeling is mutual and following discharge from hospital the two move in together despite their different backgrounds and misgivings from both their friends. Almost immediately there is a clash as the two find it increasingly difficult to fit into each others worlds. It is not an auspicious beginning. Do they have enough love & respect to overcome these differences.

- An exploding house is just the beginning of this fast-moving adventure, in which unknown enemies pursue Temuera Morrison and Lisa Eilbacher.

 

Mauri (1988) - As a Young Cop
Plot Summary
- The first film ever produced, written and directed by a Maori woman (Merate Mita). The film stars Anzac Wallace, a Maori who has run into nothing but trouble in white society. Picking up a hitchhiker, Wallace inadvertently kills the man in a car accident, then assumes the dead man's identity in order to escape a bank-robbery charge. He confesses his crimes to his dying surrogate mother, but will not explain his guilty behavior to his girlfriend (Susan D. Ramari Paul), who ultimately gives up on him. In the end, Wallace not only loses out on his chance to "assimilate" with the whites, but also loses the love and friendship of his fellow Maoris.

 

The Grasscutter (1990) - As Det. Sgt. Harris
Plot Summary
- A middle-aged landscaper (the grasscutter) pursues a quiet life in New Zealand, but soon the life he left behind -- in Belfast -- catches up to him in a fast-paced and violent conclusion, all his prior convictions ripped to shreds.

 

Once Were Warriors (1994) - As Jake Heke
Plot Summary
- Set in urban New Zealand, this tells the story of the Heke family. Jake Heke is a violent man who beats his wife frequently when drunk, and yet obviously loves both her and his family. The movie follows a period of several weeks in the family's life showing Jake's frequent outburst of violence and it's effect.
- Known as Jake "the Muss" Heke (Muss is short for Muscles). He is unemployed and spends most of the day getting drunk at the local bar with his friends. He has a vicious temper when drinking, and savagely beats any other patron he considers to have stepped out of line.

Little White Lies (1996) - As Tim
Plot Summary
- Mimi Rogers plays a high flying 'supermom' who relieves the stresses of being married to an aspiring politician (Andrew McFarlane) by repotting plants in her glass house while smoking.

 

Whipping Boy (1996) - As Jack
Plot Summary
- Cass Meredith is a respected lawyer appointed to head a commission into child pornography. She is allowed the freedom to specially hand-pick her own team, on one condition: that rogue cop Jack is part of it. This is just what she doesn't want: Jack's career has been dogged by allegations of corruption for years, and with certain high-profile society leaders under investigation, she would prefer to have a team she can completely trust.

 

Barb Wire (1996) - As Axel Hood
Plot Summary
- In the 21st century, the US is in a second civil war with the whole country in a state of emergency. Steel Harbor is the only free city left, and is headquarter for the resistance. This is the hometown of Barb Wire (Pamela Anderson), owner of the night club Hammerhead. Barb has a second job as a bounty hunter and her credo is "to never take sides for anybody and that's the only way to survive these days".
- Axel Hood is Barb Wire's former lover and he appears asking for a favor.

The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996) - As Azazello
Plot Summary
- This remake of the 1977 film is set in the year 2010, Dr. Moreau (Marlon Brando) has successfully combined human and animal DNA to make a crossbreed animal. Something goes wrong and Edward Douglas (David Thewlis) must try to stop it before it is too late. Fairuza Balk plays Aissa, Ron Perlman plays Sayer of the Law, and Val Kilmer plays Montgomery.
- Azazello learns of this implant and rips his out, setting into motion a creature revolt that begins sweeping the island and ends up being fronted by Azazello, who is one of Moreau's more successful creations.

Broken English (1996) - As Manu
Plot Summary
- Ivan is the fierce patriarch of a family of Croatian refugees in Auckland. Nina is his daughter, ready to live on her own, despite his angry objections. Eddie is the Maori she takes as her lover. Nina works at a restaurant where Eddie cooks. For a price, she agrees to marry a Chinese, another restaurant employee, so that he (and his Chinese wife) can establish permanent residency. The money gives her the independence she needs to leave her parents' house and move in with Eddie. Complications arise when Eddie realizes the depth of her father's fury and the strength of Nina's family ties.

 

Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997) - As Juliano
Plot Summary
- Annie Porte's (Sandra Bullock) boyfriend Alex Shaw (Jason Patric) gives her two tickets for a cruise to the Bahamas. The cruise ship's vault is filled with diamonds and John Geiger (Willem Dafoe), who was the ship's computer system designer, has planned to take over the ship, steal the diamonds, and send everyone on a collision course with an oil tanker anchored at the island of St. Martin. Geiger wants revenge for being fired, and it's up to Alex to stop him.

Plot Summary
- Robin Monroe (Anne Heche) is an uptight magazine editor out to meet her deadline and Quinn Harris (Harrison Ford) is a cranky cargo pilot who agrees to fly her to her destination. When the plane is forced down on a desert island, their mutual hatred turns into a lust for each other as they find themselves under the guns of some seagoing bad guys.

Plot Summary
- This is the sequel to the internationally acclaimed 'Once We Were Warriors'. It exposes a seedier view of urban New Zealand and its gang culture. Jake the Muss is still up to his old tricks in McClutchy's bar unaware that his eldest son has died in a gang fight.

From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman's Daughter (2000) - As The Hangman
Plot Summary
- Prequel to the first Dusk Till Dawn, that is set in Mexico in the early 1900's. Johnny Madrid is a local outlaw, that escapes from the gallows, then kidnaps his hangman's daughter, Esmeralda, with help from an American female outlaw. With a posse on their trail, Johnny and his gang rob a stagecoach with an American author and newlywed couple John and Mary (Rebecca Gayheart) on board. They all seek shelter at the whorehouse run by vampires, and led by the high priestess Quixtla who targets Esmeralda, a half-vampire princess.

Ihaka: Blunt Instrument (2000) (TV) - As Tito Ihaka
Plot Summary
- Detective Sergeant Ihaka, a no-nonsense cop in the Auckland PD. After a very public incident involving a mugger, a wounded cop and a baseball bat, Ihaka is shipped off to Sydney, Australia for a couple of weeks. He is sent to Sydney to attend an international symposium on policing techniques and finds himself partnered with Kirsty Finn, a by-the-book, "desk jockey" detective with the Australian Federal Police. One of the exercises of the symposium is to review procedures used in a past case, then report on their findings. Ihaka and Finn are given the unsolved case of the rape/murder of an up-and-coming model, from 3 years earlier. Supposedly the killer is a psycho and this was just a "thrill kill". However, during the course of their review they find evidence that was previously ignored and suddenly they aren't just reviewing the case, they are hot on the heels of the killer and up to their necks in blackmail, deceit and the upper echelon of society.

Plot Summary
- Peter Garrett (Chris O'Donnell), must launch a treacherous rescue effort up K2, the world's second highest peak. Peter risks his life to save his sister, Annie (Robin Tunney), and her summit team (Bill Paxton and Nicholas Lea) in a race against time. The team is trapped at 26,000 feet where they cannot survive for long. Peter enlists the help of a crew of fellow climbers, including eccentric, reclusive mountain man Montgomery Wick (Scott Glenn), to reach the peak.

Crooked Earth (2001) - As Will Bastion
Plot Summary
- Will Bastion returns home from the army after 20 years to bury his father, the former cheif of thee Maori tribe. The eldest son, is reluctant to inherit his fathers role, so it is taken by his younger brother, Kahu. Kahu is the leader of a band of drug dealers and trouble-makers who ride horses through the middle of town, wrecking peoples gardens. Under the guise of refusal of a land settlement, Kahu makes a large marijuanna deal with some murdering city folk. Will must choose between loyalty for his brother and his father, Maori tradition, and contemporary financial issues.

The Beautiful Country (2004) - As Snakehead
Plot Summary
- Because of America's involvement in the Vietnam war, there were many children of GI's by their Vietnamese wives and lovers. These women were social outcasts, while their children endured taunts and abuse. This is the story of one such child, forced from his village at 17, going to Saigon to find his mother, and then trying to escape to America with his much younger half brother in the 1990's.
- Snakehead is the overseer of the human cargo on the trawler that deals in human trafficking. He is the one that throws people off the boat for non-compliance.

Plot Summary
- In the 1870's, U.S Marshal Mike S. Blueberry (Vincent Cassel) tries to stop Wally Blount (Michael Madsen), who was the man that killed his girlfriend, from getting to a stockpile of gold hidden in Indian territory. On his way, he meets Prosit (Eddie Izzard), a German villain on a persistent mission to find gold in the Superstition Mountains.
- Runi is an Indian sorcerer that Blueberry grew up with. Runi and Blueberry are tracking Wally Blount, and must prevent him from getting into the secret sanctuary.

River Queen (2005) - As Te Kai Po
Plot Summary
- Sarah O’Brien (Samantha Morton) has grown up among soldiers on the Great River in1868. When, her son (Rawiri Pene) is kidnapped by his Maori grandfather, Sarah’s life becomes a search for her son with the not so much help of her only friend, Doyle (Kiefer Sutherland), who is a broken-down soldier. Sarah finds herself falling in love with Wiremu (Cliff Curtis) and using medical skills she learned from her father, Sarah heals Te Kai Po and begins to reconcile with her son. Unfortunately, her son intends to prove himself in war.
- Te Kai Po is the tribes chief and he declares war on the Colonials.
