Jabberwocky
(1977)
-Playing Red Herring and Black Knight
-Directed by Terry Gilliam (Monty Python) Jabberwocky
uses an overwhelmingly realistic sense of medieval gore
in a satire of medieval times. A kingdom is inhabited
by silly people and ruled by King Bruno the Questionable.
A monster wreaks havoc on helpless villages and Dennis
Cooper (Michael Palin), a happy-go-lucky ne'er-do-well
stock taker must become an unlikely hero.
-The Red Herring is Dennis Cooper's master. Apparently
when the two knights do battle, Prowse has to be one or
the other, but not both. The Black Knight kills the Jabberwocky,
but is thrown off a cliff by the creature with it's last
dying move. |
