Batman Begins (2005)

-The prequel to the other Batman movies, This one has Bruce Wayne as a young boy watching his millionaire parents murdered in front of him. Becoming obsessed with revenge, he ends up in the far east joining a cult called The League of Shadows. He later returns to Gotham City to fight organized crime. With the help of Jim Gordon, Batman goes after don Falcone, the twisted psychiatric doctor Jonathan 'The Scarecrow' Crane, and a mysterious third party that is the mastermind of a dangerous drug cartel.

Love Actually (2003)

-This romantic comedy tells several stories of love, leading up to a big climax on Christmas Eve. The central character is the new bachelor prime minister David (Hugh Grant) who cannot express his growing feelings for his new personal assistant Natalie.
-Daniel is recently widowed and that story follows the relationship between Daniel and his young stepson Sam, who is in love with a girl singer from his school. Daniel just wants to help, so with his step-fathers encouragement, Sam decides to become a drummer to impress the girl.
Gangs of New York (2002)

-As waves of immigrants enter 1800's New York, lawlessness and corruption thrive in Manhattan's Five Points section. After years of incarceration, a young Irish immigrant named Amsterdam Vallon returns seeking revenge against the rival gang leader who killed his father. In the end, there is a very bloody riot, a street battle, and a full army assault in the city, that leaves hundreds dead.
-Priest Vallon was slain and once chief warrior of the Dead Rabbits gang that rallied the Irish immigrants of the Five Points.
 
K-19: The Widowmaker (2002)

-Inspired by a true story, the film follows the heroism of Captain Alexei Vostrikov who is ordered to take command of the nuclear missile submarine K-19 away from Captain Mikhail Polenin. Vostrikov’s mission is to quickly ready the ill-prepared sub for her maiden voyage no matter what the cost.
The nuclear reactor malfunctions, threatening a core meltdown and an explosion that will kill everyone on board.
-Mikhail Polenin is the submarines original commander.

 
The Haunting (1999)

-This supernatural thriller is based on the classic novel "The Haunting Of Hill-House" where there is a research experiment on a group of subjects with sleep disorders. The subjects think they are taking part in a study of insomnia. The doctor starts with a spooky bedtime story, but it soon becomes reality as the house unleashes it's evil terror on them.
-Dr. David Marrow is the psychiatrist that invites the strangers to the creepy mansion with a dark history to find out the effects of fear on their minds.

Les Misérables (1998)
