-A young woman lives a life filled with bad choices. She
marries and has a child with an abusive thief at a young
age who quickly ends up in prison. Left alone she takes
up with his mate (another thief) who seems to give her
some happiness but who also ends up in the nick. She then
takes up with a series of seedy types who offer nothing
but momentary pleasure. Her son goes missing and she briefly
comes to grips with what is most important to her. |

calls in sidekick Willie Garvin and a few other friends
to outsmart them. Meanwhile, at his island hideaway, Gabriel,
the diamond thief has his own plans for Blaise and Garvin. |

Collector (1965)

- Freddie Clegg is an inept bank clerk with no future.
His only hobby is collecting butterflies, which gives
him a feeling of power and control that is otherwise totally
missing from his life. He comes into a large sum of money,
and buys himself a country house. Still unable to make
himself at ease socially, he starts to plan on acquiring
a girl friend - in the same manner as he collects butterflies.
He prepares the cellar of the house to be a collecting
jar, and stalks his victim over several days. That's where
art student Miranda Grey (Samantha Eggar) comes in, when
she matches wits with Freddie. |
